Scroll along this page to find answers and videos to questions that I have been asked about "How do you do that?"
Planbook.com
This is a website that allows teachers to use an online planning form that they can allow parents, team members and administrators to view. I have used it with my team and we have found it very useful in allowing cooperation with other cooperating teachers. Exceptional needs teachers, related arts teachers and English as a second language teachers have found this very helpful to ensure that we are all teaching the same thing.
Search Safely on the Internet
This is part two of searching safely on the internet. I show you how to turn on the search safe features in Google, and answer / explain a few questions that I had as a parent.
How do I create that spinning sort activity?
Vortex sort activities are one of my students favorites. They like watching the words spin away down the vortex. This video shows you how to create one on your own.
How do I use Smartboard Exchange?
This one is kind of long, but it walks you through the steps of how to browse Smartboard Exchange and download the files to your computer. I discuss pros and cons of what to think about before you save, and how to use the filters to maximize your search results.
I like one or two pages from an activity- How can I use just those pages/
This is a short tutorial of how I can copy one page from an activity to another activity. This is useful if you use Smartboard Exchange and find activities that you like, but don't want to use the whole activity. It is also helpful if only part of a lesson is developmentally appropriate.
I use it for part of my daily routines. I add activities that are relevant to what we are teaching, or for a quick fun review of past lessons.
